Introduction：Cui Weijie, once a favored child of fate, a postgraduate from a 985 university and a professional manager in a major company, is now a "performer" in the library at the age of 45. He uses his last shred of dignity to hide the truth of his unemployment.
When two thousand resumes couldn't secure a single opportunity, and when the past glory has become the heaviest echo at the moment, he has become his own Sisyphus, constantly struggling and seeking a glimmer of light. All of this is not to win back the world, but merely to avoid being completely left behind by the times.
Behind this story lie two cruel truths of the modern workplace:
One is the devaluation of age. Thirty-five has become an invisible threshold, and forty-five is seen as a burden. Experience is no longer an advantage, but a reason for elimination.
The other is the devaluation of academic degrees. The once-glittering title of 985 master’s graduate has faded sharply in the job market, no longer able to secure a stable life for middle-aged professionals.
